About Us

Kidneys 4 Tidewater was founded by Katisha and Taylor Vertrees. When Katisha was diagnosed with ESRD (end-stage renal disease), her friend Jessica made a Facebook page called “Kidney 4 Katisha.” Through that page, Katisha and Taylor began sharing daily, with videos showcasing the equipment, supplies, and medication that were keeping Katisha alive. That page ultimately led to Katisha receiving a living donor kidney transplant.
